First For February

Here’s the first entry for February.  Have some Madonna tunes plugged into my ears while I’m here with you this evening.  It’s a Tuesday and Dave is on the turbo in our unit.   I have tried to set aside Tuesdays as "my time," perhaps even calling it "my sacred time," to nurture myself while he’s training.

So even tho’ I dashed off to the market after work,  I spent some time drumming with Bear this evening when I returned.   Very grounding.  Aaaaaahhhh.  Just what I needed.  My own private drum group, just me and my friend and protector Bear.

I’m looking forward this month to venturing to a drum circle not too far away a new friend told me about.  Thank goodness for new friends – I am honored

Every so often I need to immerse myself in music.  Music has been such an integral part of my life in past years and, although I don’t play an instrument these days, I need to hear tunes that inspire and touch me and ones that make my soul feel light and free.  If I don’t indulge myself every so often I have found that my spirit just sorta wilts.   You musicians out there understand this, I’m sure.

So the wind is blustery, coming in with yet another front, and I’m tucked up here snug in our residence nurturing my soul.

I’ll be 50 this year….silly to still be groovin’ with Madonna tunes at that age?

I think not.  Even if it is….too darn bad!

Jazzercise is fun, although I do miss the tunes of the 80’s; however, it does satisfy my need to "Vogue."

Lately I’ve started an attempt at that book different people keep encouraging me to tackle.   Will I ever see it come to fruition?  Time will tell.  We’ll see if the Muse will grace me with a visit now and again.

The love of my life is back from his training session, so ends my time with you.

Ciao for now!
