LiveSTRONG Summit

Good morning from our winter wonderland here in Minnesota!  There’s about 3" of the white stuff on the ground which arrived overnight Sunday.

As you know, I attended the first-ever Lance Armstrong Foundation LiveSTRONG Summit in Austin during my October trip to Texas.  Those three days were intense, inspiring, emotional, joyous, and energizing.

Once again I feel deeply the "obligation of the cured"  to DO something.  During those three days we drafted our personal action plans of exactly this to carry back to our individual communities.  Some plans were of a grand scale while others, like mine, are on a smaller, more personal level.

The weekend was almost overwhelming with the level of intensity, emotion, activities, and hard work in our breakout groups.  And the people…so many people with such stories.  I am indeed blessed to have spent time with these incredible souls.

Although this was the end of October, I am still gathering my wooly thoughts in an attempt to put down in words a recap of the weekend.  Perhaps these are the first steps…talking to you about it here and last night creating a page on my Reiki Web site where I will eventually compile everything.  That, and this, is part of my action plan.

My trip to Texas was not only a journey in geographic miles, but a journey of the soul and spirit, presenting me with some interesting synchronicities (the theme of which is constant and recurring) and plenty of time on the open road to indulge in some introspection and reflection.

I have much to think about.

In the meantime, please check out http://reikiwarmhands.com/page2.html.  It is very much under construction, but it is a presence.

And that’s what much of life is about, eh, stepping up and being counted…being present.

I can’t leave without giving a public thanks to my darling husband, who is so supportive of my "strangeness" – what have I done all these years without him?  Muddled along, I suppose, searching for him…transmitting that radar we seem to share…waiting for him to find me.  Life is so joyous with him and I’m such a lucky gal!

Catch ya later!   Until then, I’ll be LivingSTRONG!
